Creating the perfect piece
BRIEF
A fictional business wanted a logo created. The client’s target audience was children (ages 1 – 10), their parents (ages 20 – 49) and/or grandparents (ages 50 – 69).
SOLUTION
This branding was designed with the audience of young children and their guardians in mind. The complementary colors chosen were picked to refer to the ocean and a reef. This was because of the nature of the scuba school business. The cartoon fish icon is meant to appeal to younger children.
I surmised that although a snorkel doesn’t represent scubaing, it was recognizable enough for children to understand what the business would be about. Using the image and colors, children and parents alike could easily understand what the business is about without having to venture into the building for recognizable information.
